Koh Samui is the second largest island of Thailand, with 228 square kilometers and the main island in the middle of the Mu Koh Ang Thong National Marine Park, established on November 1980.
The name Mu Koh (หมู่เกาะ) Ang Thong (อ่างทอง) means “Group of Islands, Bowls of Gold” and has been given to this beautiful cluster of islands in honor of their beauty and is a traveler’s paradise which cover 42 small islands in a total area of 102 kilometers square plus the three bigger islands of Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao.
Daily tours take tourists to Ang Thong to admire the magnificence of the park, make snorkeling, canoeing and take a walk on the largest islands such as Koh and Koh Wua Talab and Koh Mae Ko to achieve strategic viewpoints for some panoramic photos or admire natural caves and salt lakes.
